Perth Motorplex announces 2022/2023 Motorplex Burnout Series
After running the WA Burnout Championship Series for a number of seasons to try and lift the profile of the sport Perth Motorplex has teamed up with West Coast Nats and Motorvation to create the Motorplex Burnout Series over 4 Rounds during the 2022/2023 Season.
Drag Racing and Burnout Events Manager Ray Treasure said, “With another group creating a similar series to what we were running, it was confusing to have two state championship series running so after discussions with some of the major stakeholders in the WA Burnout Scene the Motorplex Burnout Championship Series was born.”
The series will kick off with the West Coast Nats on 16-17 September and will run on a new format of a Qualifying Burnout and then separate Finals at each of the series rounds.
Rules and judging have been honed up and will follow the same format at all of the rounds.
- RD 1 – 16-17 September 2022 – West Coast Nats
- RD 2 – 15 October 2022 – Burnout Boss
- RD 3 – 3-5 February 2023 – Motorvation
- RD 4 – 7 April 2023 – Good Friday Burnout King
