The sixth annual PowerPalooza event will see all facets of the Perth Motorplex full of thrilling action this Saturday, with drag racing, burnouts, monster trucks, speedway racing and fireworks to entertain the fans in one action-packed show.
Headlining the action will be nine Top Doorslammers, with these ever-popular 3500hp racing machines part of a comprehensive drag racing program hitting the drag strip.
In the Burson’s Snake Pit, 10 ‘skid’ cars will perform adrenalin pumping burnouts, before the crowd-pleasing Monster Trucks churn up the dirt with their huge wheels and V8 power.
At the Motorplex Speedway, it will then be time for the opening round of the 2022/2023 Maddington Toyota Sprintcar Series to fire up, with thundering sprint cars and entertaining late models undertaking heats and feature racing throughout the evening.
To appropriately top off the big day and night of action, a spectacular fireworks show will round out the evening.
“PowerPalooza is such an exciting event and a perfect way to open and headline the new Motorplex racing season,” Perth Motorplex General Manager, Paul Trengove, said.
“This is the only event on our calendar where we utilise all of our facilities at the same time, showcasing everything the Perth Motorplex has to offer.
“Featuring the best of speedway, drag racing and burnouts all in one night, plus monster trucks and fireworks, this is going to be a massive show with something for everyone.

The PowerPalooza program will commence from 2.30pm, with drag racing from 2.30pm to 6.30pm, burnouts at 6.30pm, and speedway action from 6.30pm to 10.00pm, followed by the fireworks.
