This Saturday Night will honour a legend of the sport.

Named the “Competitor of the Century”.

Known as “Mr Sprintcar”.

The Mr Sprintcar Alf Barbagallo 77 will headline the night as part of the Maddington Toyota Sprintcar Series, with the feature race for Sprintcars paying a cool $7,777.77 to win thanks to the support of Barbagallo in Osborne Park.

Alf Barbagallo is the all-time winningest driver at Claremont Speedway, winning 79.5 feature races after dead heating with Ray Geneve on November 27, 1970.

Alf on a record eight occasions, has the most feature wins in a season at Claremont Speedway.

Also a 6-time Western Australian Champion, Alf Barbagallo was inducted into the Claremont Speedway Hall of Fame in the 1999-2000 season.

Just to add a bit more to Barbagallo’s long and illustrious resume, he won the inaugural round of World Series Sprintcars at the Claremont Speedway on 21 November 1987.

A stacked 20 car field is entered for the event with WA’s best Sprintcar drivers ready to put it all on the line.

Leading into the all-important feature race, the return of the fan favourite Pole Shuffle will set the first 7 spots on the feature race grid.

Supporting the event will be Late Models, The Pool Shop Group Speedcars, Wingless Sprints and Limited Sprintcars.

Gates open at 4:30pm, with pre event action from 5pm and the main program from 6pm.
