Perth Motorplex is excited to announce great, new exciting events as well as our crowd favourites returning for another year.
POWERPALOOZA is here, and for the first time ever a triple treat of speed, fun and thrills will be on show as we drag race, burn out and speedway our way through a spectacular Saturday. Reserve October the 28th for your day of complete thrills.
The championship season will begin for both drag racing and speedway on the same night, joined by an invite only burnout show, a festival of horsepower dedicated to all things fast and cool taking place in all corners of the venue. With car displays, a huge kids zone and entertainment everywhere you look, we expect this to be one of the biggest bangs we have ever started a season with. More on this event to come next week!
The Goldenstates are back in November and we are super excited to have the drag racing guys back in their traditional time slot. We follow this up with the Scardifield Smash Repair King of Wings and the first standalone burnout event of the season, Burnout Boss.
Last year’s smash event, the Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny Cars are also back, December 2 is the date so set that in your calendar for a feast of nitro powered drag racing.
International action returns to Perth Motorplex over Christmas and New Year with the USA vs WA Sprintcar Speedweek and USA vs Australia Jet Dragsters burning down the track. Global rivalry on show at wild speeds!
We are still in the final planning stage but we are planning Perth’s best Ute Muster with cars, bulls, and music, stay tuned for further updates on this big night out, we are going full COUNTRY on this one.
The news just keeps getting better, MOTORVATION 32 is back over the Australia Day weekend with on site camping, cruising, burnouts and the return of the fan favourite Elite Pavilion. Street machines, hot rods and custom cars of all kinds revving their hearts out for you! Taking place over three days – start planning your Australia Day weekend now to include this awesome car show with go.
January’s major attraction will be Motorvation 32, to be held over the Australia Day long weekend. With two nights of camping and the return of event favourites like the Elite Pavilion, this is going to be the rebirth of Motorvation street machiners and hot rodders have been waiting for.
February is World Series Sprintcars month, with Perth Motorplex set to play host to the two-night Grand Final once more, this time shifting to a Saturday-Sunday format, attracting the best drivers from around the country and the world. If you are a speedway fan, there is simply no place else you would rather be on this weekend!
Monster March is home to the Westernationals, bringing championship drag racing west, as well as the fifth running of Monster Trucks Unleashed. But if you want to see nitro, we are going to see some of the craziest vehicles in drag racing on track at the Motorplex for the first time – Nitro Hot Rods. Take the engine from a Nitro Funny Car, put it in a short wheelbase, stripped back chassis and then let it loose. From the same team that brings you the Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny Cars, it’s going to be wild. This action packed March finishes up with Good Friday Burnout King – the burnout show to rule them all.
The championship grand finals for drag racing and speedway will be wrapped up into POWERPALOOZA II, providing a fitting send off for the track championship as we round up the season.
